Delete Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Bangalore Rentals account and/or certain personal data associated with your account.
Option 1: Delete from the app
Open the app → go to Profile → select Delete account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Option 2: Contact us on WhatsApp
Contact our support team on WhatsApp at +91 6362 789 208.
Please include your registered phone number or email address and clearly state that you are requesting account deletion.
Option 3: Email us
Send a request from your registered email address to contact@bangalore-rentals.in with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
To help us verify and process your request, include your registered phone number (if available) and any other identifying details associated with your account.
Request deletion of partial data
If you wish to delete specific data (for example, a document, a transaction record, or parts of your profile) without deleting your entire account, contact us on WhatsApp at +91 6362 789 208 or email contact@bangalore-rentals.in.
In your request, please specify (a) the data you want deleted, (b) your registered phone number/email, and (c) any additional details that help us locate the relevant record(s). We may ask for additional information to verify the request and prevent unauthorized deletion.
Information we may require
To verify your identity and process your request securely, we may ask for additional information or confirmation from your registered contact details. If the request is made from an unregistered number/email, we may not be able to proceed until ownership of the account is verified.
What happens after you submit a request
We will review and process valid requests within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days), subject to verification and applicable legal requirements. We may deny or partially fulfil a request if we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes.
Data retention
We generally process account deletion requests within 30 days (after verification). In some cases, we may need to retain certain information for a longer period where required or permitted by applicable law, regulatory obligations, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes.
Where retention is required, we will restrict access to retained data and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Please note that residual copies of some information may persist in backups for a limited period and will be deleted as part of our regular backup rotation.
